Ms. Charita A. Martin has worked at the Hilton Garden Inn Detroit Southfield since January 2007. Her Last day as the Front Desk Manager is TODAY June 13th, 2012. She will be greatly missed. We wish her the best of luck and thank her for her hard work since day 1!
I have worked for the Hilton Garden Inn Southfield for the past 5 years. My Journey here started out in January 2007 as a Customer Service/Front Desk Agent. I then became the Sales Manager in 2009 and worked my way to the Front Desk Manager in 2010 through… Today! As the Front Desk Manager I was responsible for managing all front desk and night audit operations. I was to make sure they were run smoothly all the while maintaining a wonderful rapport with my staff and guests. I worked with all departments of the hotel to ensure total guest satisfaction. In addition to my responsibilities some of my favorite things about working here were my co-workers and of course the guests! I will never forget the guests, they can make or break your day! I “always” kept it together no matter the situation. From late check-out’s to crazy requests, I will miss my loyal customers and their friendly faces. The hotel employees, my fellow co-workers were the best part of working at the Hilton Garden Inn Southfield. Every job can get stressful at times but, no matter the ups, downs and stressful situations my coworkers were truly a joy to be around. Every one of them over the years were fantastic: General Managers, Accountants, Directors, Managers, Supervisors, Agents, Waitresses, Waiters, Bartenders, Housekeepers, Housemen, Dishwashers, Maintenance and Banquet Staff were hardworking, wonderful people to be around. I also enjoyed the many events including luncheons, weddings, family reunions and other functions that the hotel has hosted in the past. Overall, this was an experience and career achievement that I will cherish forever! I will sincerely miss you guys.
